Wedding Bouquets

Wedding bouquets come in different varieties and offer brides many choices for the big day. Wedding bouquets can be created from a variety of flowers, a single type of flower embellished with greenery or tule, elaborate or simple. There is no right way to arrange a wedding bouquet.

The bride must be happy with what she has chosen and then, her personality will come through in the flowers. This is all that is needed to have the right wedding bouquet.

It's nice to be able to connect wedding bouquets with the dresses that are being worn. Some brides like to include flowers of the same color as the bridesmaid's dresses. If the bride doesn't want any actual flowers of the same color in the wedding bouquet, an easy way to get around this is to tie a piece of fabric from the dresses around the flowers.

The most common way to choose wedding bouquet colors are to stay with the colors of the ceremony and reception. This again, can include all of the colors of the theme by adding a variety of differently colored flowers or the bride may just want to focus on one color. When going with one main color, the flowers can be all of the same variety and color or can be different varieties of the same color. Contrasting colors can draw more attention to the flowers so if the wedding bouquet is meant to be a focal point, it would be important to have different colors.

Another decision to be made when it comes to deciding on how to choose bridal wedding bouquets is to choose the shape. Round shapes are the most popular but there are ways to personalize the roundness of a bouquet or to create a different shape entirely.

Lace and greenery can trail from the wedding bouquet to lend it a more downward shape and crystals and beads can be added for a more reflective spark. Flowers that have a spikiness to them can be shaped to form a triangle Diamond shapes can be created by ivy and trailing flowers. Different shapes will move the eye around the bouquet and placing accents in specific points will help achieve the desired effect.

Different wedding bouquets are often used as the bridal bouquet. If the bride has decided on silk flowers for her bridal bouquet, she may want to have a fresh wedding bouquet to toss at the reception so she can keep the one that went down the aisle with her as a memory of her big day.

If the bride wants to have fresh flowers but still wants to keep something as a memory, it's possible to have part of the wedding bouquet detach and she can toss one of the parts and keep the other. For a wedding in the summer months, it's a good idea to have two wedding bouquets. one for the photographs and one for walking down the aisle. This way your flowers will be fresh for both occasions.

Choosing wedding bouquets can be a lot of fun as one can let their imagination and creativity run rampant. It's important not to become too frustrated by this decision although it may seem overwhelming at first.
