Wedding Rings
Wedding rings are perhaps the most traditional and
most common element to any ceremony. No matter what other traditional
or completely-unique-to-you elements your ceremony incorporates
chances are, there are wedding rings. And, there's good reason for
this.
Wedding rings symbolize the eternal love that a couple has for
each other and the tradition of exchanging them during the ceremony
has been a tradition carried from five centuries ago.
But, just because this is such a common element doesn't mean that
your wedding rings can't be unique to you and represent your personalities.
Finding your personal style isn't as important for any other element
of the event planning as it is when choosing your weddings bands.
The gown and the flowers and all the other elements will probably
be stored and only taken out on rare occasions. The wedding rings
however are your daily reminder of the big day and something you'll
take with you everywhere, so style is an important factor.
Deciding on the shape and color of the wedding rings will probably
be the biggest decision when choosing the style of band you would
like. The rounded gold bands are the most traditional but there
are plenty of other options such as squared off platinum or white
gold rings. You can even mix the two up by choosing a two-tone ring
that will combine two colors.
It will most likely be easier for the woman to choose her wedding
ring than it will be for the man. This is simply because women are
more accustomed to, and more comfortable with wearing jewelry than
men typically are. Just like her gown and the other aspects of her
wedding, a woman has probably been envisioning her wedding ring
for quite some time.
For many men, the only piece of jewelry they have ever worn may
be their watch and so, they may feel uncomfortable wearing a ring.
Men need to make this selection very carefully as they are going
to have to live with it forever. Even men who are uncomfortable
with the thought of wearing a wedding ring however, are surprised
to learn that they are actually quite drawn to the stylish designs
available today.
Traditionally the man and woman's wedding rings have matched each
other but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case today. It's
not uncommon for two people to have different tastes when it comes
to any jewelry and wedding rings aren't any different. If you want
to keep with the tradition of matching rings, you can simply choose
the same design in different metals or you can choose the same metal
with different designs.
It's important to be completely happy with the wedding rings you
choose. Not only are they a major purchase but they will be a major
part of your lives for many, many years to come. If you let your
personalities shine through you're both sure to find something that
suits your tastes whether you're used to wearing jewelry or not.
